Observation details
Long, slender wings, rather pointed at the tips. High flying, only gliding when I saw it, headed pretty much straight south, not changing elevation or direction. I at first thought it might be a Swainson's Hawk, but after input from birders much more knowledgeable than myself, found that the tail was too long and the wings too short and the body not the right shape for Swainson's. My guess is it must be a Cooper's but am not sure.
