Observation details
Originally found this bird near St. Peter’s dune crossing. Tracked it for a while as it gradually worked its way along the coast further north. Pre groupme alerts, so drove to CMBO to alert the staff. Bird was MIA for a bit and then later re-found further north near the jetty by Higbee Beach. Was found again on 12/23. Two prior records from Cape May per e-bird, 1929, and 1933. Two records from Sandy Hook, one from Belmar, and one from Barnegat prior to this. 7th state record.
