Media notes
Habitat: Monsoon evergreen forest. Group OF9: part of a duet, and a 3-min. solo bout by the male. The first notes of the great-call at the beginning were not recorded. This male looks like a lar in most respects, but has phrases that have some hybrid features: the "o-ah" notes similar to the "who-hah!" phrases of clear F1 hybrid males, and the rapid series of 3 or 4 short notes typical of hybrid males. But he gives hoots similar to lar phrases also.
