Media notes
Habitat: Monsoon evergreen forest. Group OF20: Starts with hooting by male in response to another male heard in the background. One great-call sequence of the duet of OF19 after !:30. Remainder of cut is all male hooting back and forth, but lar group OF19 sings in background, especially at about 6 min. This male frequently gives a brief "rapid hoot series" consisting of 4 quick rising hoots within about 1 sec. This suggests some pileatus influence, as generally only hybrid males do this. Otherwise the male calls like a lar.
