Media notes
Habitat: Monsoon evergreen forest. Group KS 1, consisting of a pileatus male, lar female, and an attached hybrid female. The two females sing together in the "duet", making it a trio. Their great calls are given simultaneously. The first part of the cut has "hoo-sighs" , inhale-exhale phrases by the hybrid female, apparently after seeing recordist. These are generally alarm calls. After a minute or so into the cut, the trio go into the song, with 7 great call sequences. A few pileated male hoot phrases end this cut.
