Media notes
Habitat: Monsoon evergreen forest. Group SY 1, with lar female and pileated male, plus a ca. 3-y female juvenile, a hybrid. The first part of cut has 4 great call sequences of the duet. At about 9 min, the male sees recordist and tape is turned on again. He gives sharp, bark-like alarm calls, and female gives long, drawn-out hoos. Later in the cut can be heard rather faint di-syllabic hoots of the hybrid juvenile.
