Observation details
Very rare in NH and first hotspot record. Photos show thick bill and long, dark legs and feet. Long wings with very long outer primaries. Merlin Photo ID suggests Gull-billed Tern, and this bird looks like the "molting adult" example in Sibley's. Bird was seen in large gull roost on rocks near "Frost Point." Seen in same group as Little Gull.
