Observation details
Description: Kingbird with yellow belly, gray head and breast, prominent white malar stripe, pale edges to the wing coverts, back color undetermined, no contrast between wings and back, blackish tail with no obvious white. Gray head and yellow underparts like Great Crested Flycatcher, especially prominent in flight. Found by Krzysztof Kurylowicz. Left photo by Krzysztof Kurylowicz. Behavior: Very active, moving around the Point, perching in the tops of trees, flying, perched in the native planting area, often associating with 2 Eastern Kingbirds. Heard calling twice, a double-noted "che-weer". Found by Kris K. Seen by several observers, including Nathan Goldberg, Jeff Skretney, Andy Sigler, Steve Huggins, and Tom Lally.
