Media notes
Individual 1. I was puzzled by the vocalizations of the bird. I later figured out that it was X. fuscus (indeed, the overall pattern and vocalization types are similar to those of nominate subspecies). These birds sound deeper toned and slower than nominate birds from Misiones, Argentina. ML: Subject changed from recordist's original identification of Xiphorhynchus fuscus tenuirostris to Xiphorhynchus fuscus [fuscus Group] to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015.
