Observation details
I slowly pulled up to the north end of Garst road, where several shorebirds were foraging and seemed mostly oblivious to the car, so I turned off the engine to photograph them for a while. After a few minutes I noticed this bird amongst the Least Sandpipers that was paler, and with a short, blunt, tubular bill. Scaly upperparts with no obvious red/rufous tones. White supercilium. Black legs. Seemed to be between WESA and LESA in size.
