Observation details
Identified as juvenile Red-necked Stint based on input from Advanced Bird ID group and others. Loosely hanging out with flock of WESA and SAND north of the creek mouth. I first noticed the small bill and long wingtips. After following it for a bit I was able to get photos of the unwebbed toes to confirm it as a stint. Initially considered Red-necked Stint due to its drabness, gray lower scapulars and striking similarity to the surrounding WESAs. Then thought Little due to rufous edged tertials. However, long wings, short legs, blunt tipped bill, and anchor pattern in scapulars all point towards Red-necked.
