Observation details
Flycatching from the understory of one of the shorter trees. Would perch briefly before flying off branch toward the ground. The bird would not land on the ground, but would loop just above it (presumably catching flying insects low to the ground). It would then fly back up to a nearby perch. It was working its way around the underside of the tree. After watching it for a short time, it flew off to the north and out of sight.
