NOTES: Breeding status: TERRITORIAL SOLITARY; Frequency of sound: NORMAL; General climate: CYCLIC WET-DRY; Cover density: THICK; [This recording begins with hard chip notes, followed by some "spishing" by the recordist, and then the more tinny song interspersed with chips and some chattering (see Howell and Webb. 1995. A guide to the birds of Mexico and northern Central America. Oxford University Press). Chips are given at 0:01-0:14, songs at 0:14-0:165 and 0:23-0:52, and chips/chattering at 0:18-0:225. There is a "cryptic" stop-start at 0:275. All times are from beginning of recording as measured from species-reel.
