Northern Cardinal making the Call (Long-Crested) sound @ Humber Bay Park East, Toronto, ON
Observation details
By the parking lot, there's a portion that has dense shrubs and trees. When I was walking back to my car, I heard a different sound (it was the call sound), so I started recording the sound (that's why you hear car sounds, because it's in the parking lot). Then I suddenly saw it in front of my eyes, so I captured a few pictures, but since it was quite high up, I had to zoom in, so the pictures didn't turn out to be good. It was definitely a Male Northern Cardinal. It had a bright red crest and a red body. However, it's eyes were black and the area around its eyes until the bottom of its beak are black as well. This was the last species I saw, and it was so beautiful. It was so interesting that I found this species when I was just about to end my birding trip.
