Observation details

Amazing spot by Lucas Styeohenzon. Seen in flight and on the shoreline. Def had the Asian feel to it. Bird was almost certainly an adult female. Associating with a large flock of western and least sandpiper. About double the size of the surrounding peeps, and was much taller. The telltale signs of this bird being a ruff, are the body shape and posture, as seen in photos, the yellow-orange legs and the white spots on the rump. A few photos are up for proof right now, and better ones will be uploaded.
