Observation details
This bird was reported prior to our arrival. While scoping the bay at the north end if Garst Road, I found a pink blob on the low, flat blind left of the tan sandy hill (third blind from the left edge). It turned around and put its head down and I could clearly see the spoon-shaped bill. After watching it for about 10 minutes a great blue heron displaced it. It showed much more pink color in flight. I watched it in the scope until it landed directly across the bay. It foraged there for a while longer and the flew up into the reeds and settled in for a snooze where it was nearly invisible. Seen first at about 10:15.
