Observation details
This bird has been singing along the driveway for a few weeks now, the property owners didn't know what kind of bird it was, they had heard it incessantly without seeing it. The Levy's contacted Bernard Forsythe. who was able to confirm it's identity yesterday. Today we were able to both hear and see the Black Billed Cuckoo, a lifer for all three of us. The cuckoo had an all black bill, large black eye, brown back, no reddish in the wings, white breast and belly, and the long tail was greyish underneath with small white bars or tips on the feathers.
