Observation details
ID likely by geography (and **what is the true status of mid-summer Common Nighthawk in the middle Florida Keys, anyway?**), but the boldly pale scapulars and somewhat duller pale tertials were interesting. Other birders noted that a male nighthawk was present nearby and the two birds interacted and gave standard Antillean calls at one point (though we did not observe this directly).
