Observation details
Continuing since yesterday. Original spotters, Dan and Shirley Wilkerson, were on site again this morning to help several birders relocate this unbelievable bird, not recorded in U.S. for 47 years! Spotted in and around Grassy Key neighborhood then it finally settled in the same spot as yesterday around 9:30 a.m. As cooperative a Swift as you will ever find, swooping within 10 feet of us at times. Feeding over wetlands on either side of Peachtree Ave. Brown with pale underside, forked tail, thick white band around rump. Unfortunately silent.
