Media notes
Wind noise is considerable, so it is uncertain if one can make out swallow calls at all. (Video shows many swallows present, quite active.) I think I can, tho if so, they do not seem to have the buzzy character of more typical Bank Swallow calls. Reason for caution here is provided by Bent, who says (p. 415, in the volume containing the accounts of the swallows in his Life Histories of North American Birds) "Nest-building as well as burrow-digging is accompanied by much harsh,. unmusical twittering. Thereafter comparative quiet reigns during the period of egg-laying and incubation; vocalization is resumed as soon as the young are hatched."
Observation details
large colony in an active sand pit; shortly after photographing, the middle of the wall collapsed, perhaps 1/4 of the colony
