Observation details
This sandpiper was about the same size as a Western, a little smaller perhaps. Overall tone was gray, without much brown. The bill was slightly drooped like a WESA, but it seemed too stout and reminded me more of a SESA. There was a very faint breast band made up of fine gray streaks, making it entirely across the chest, and isolating the throat which remained stark white. I originally called this bird a peep sp. but upon further review and discussing with peers, this bird seems more likely to be a proper SESA.
