T791. Recording of forest birds made at Franklin Park near Hoedspruit South Africa on 24/2/11 at 06h10. Blue-mantled Crested Flycatcher calls in the beginning. 0.09 a Green-backed Camaroptera gives its ¿tik-tik¿ call and competes with the flycatcher for several seconds, eventually taking over. 1.04 Purple-crested Turaco. 1.46 Scaly-throated Honeyguide way in back. Light rain is falling. 2.54 Green-backed Camaroptera bleat call. 3.48 Scaly-throated Honeyguide in background. Equipment used a Sound Devices 722 and the microphones an MS system with two Sennheiser MKH 30 & 40 microphones. Incorrect date given in announcement ¿ should be 2011 not 2010! GPS S24.33.0 E31.02.0. Equipment Notes: Decoded MS Stereo.
