Media notes
This image shows the bird on the left a bit more clearly, with the eye visible separate from the black cap and a bright yellow bill consistent with CLGR, but some grayish smudging in the plumage above the eye, possibly starting to molt into non-breeding plumage. The fledgling bird was associating closely with the two adults and assumed to be their offspring. The nearest WEGR were several tens of meters away.
Observation details
One of the adults shows white right round the eye, and a bright yellow bill, consistent with CLGR. The other adult, clearly paired with the CLGR appears to have hybrid characteristics between WEGR and CLGR, with an eye clearly visible outside the black cap, but some grey above the eye and a black line between eye and gape. The two adults are clearly paired based on the rushing display.
