First segment: The birds approached from left to right and landed on a branch parallel to the feeding station. B/R jumped to a perch on the outside of the feeder and went inside. The second bird jumped to the same perch area and went inside. Both birds remained inside until 5:00 moving about rapidly. At approx. 5:00 LB/O leaves the feeder, B/R remains inside until the end of the recording - At approx. 7:00, a single Pycnonotus jocosus perched behind the feeder and begins calling in a more prominent volume. Second segment: B/R is preening at the beginning of the recording. At various points during the recording, a second OWE (presumably LB/O) can be heard at a further distance but is unseen. Near the beginning of the recording, a single Foudia rubra approaches the feeder and appears to be trying to gain access at which it is unsuccessful. B/R remains inside feeding station throughout recording and its activity and vocalizations increase with the presence of the Foudia rubra. At 2:00 a single Leiolopisma telfairii is heard moving over some leaf litter approx. 3 ft. from the microphone. Third segment: At the beginning of the recording, B/R is already in the feeder and LB/O enters from outside of the feeder. Both birds move about rapidly within the feeder. At approx. 1:20, the birds perch in very close proximity to one another and the vocalizations change. At 5:08 LB/O leaves the feeding station. B/R is left alone in the feeder and begins jumping back and forth in front of the mesh wall that LB/O left through. At approx. 7:12 its vocalization begins to change and become more frequent, at approx. 8:15 the vocalization again begins to change. It continues making a variety of calls until 15:33 when LB/O returns and enters the feeder. The calls are curtailed. Fourth segment: B/R is alone in the feeding station. It is moving and darting about very rapidly in the feeder. Fifth segment: B/R is alone in feeder at beginning of recording. At :15, LB/O approaches the feeder and lands on an exterior perch momentarily before entering the feeder. Both birds then move and dart about rapidly inside the feeder. Sixth segment: A secondary bird (no positive identification) flies in close proximity of the feeder. The vocalizations and movements of B/R become more pronounced and rapid. Seventh segment: Both birds are in the feeder from the beginning of the recording. They move and dart about rapidly. During the recording, B/R begins preening itself on the mesh floor of the feeder. LNS: Recording is from 825-938.
