Observation details
16:00 - 18:00 - Spotted Flycatcher x 2 feeding a nest of four downy chicks. Chicks look dark and tan streaked. Mouth yellow, crooks of mouth very white yellow. Inside mouth orangey yellow. Nest in a hollowed out knot of the big tree that looks like a maple tree in the U.K. Adults would wait outside of the nest on a branch about a metre or two away before approaching nest with flies and moths as food, one adult dropped a large reddish black caterpillar on some moss above the knot hole where the nest was, as if this was possibly stored food for one of the adults.
