Observation details
At least three males heard singing (I think I saw a female as well). I put in some effort to spot two of them, but was only rewarded with a brief view of one in flight. This makes me think that Painted Buntings may sing in more secretive spots than Indigo Buntings (which tend to perch conspicuously on the tops of trees and bushes).
