Media notes
First bird. That pole in front of 570 Wentworth.
Observation details
Continuing. Similar in shape and size to a mourning dove. Brighter, less colourful head; overall paler bird. Black patch at back of neck is seen. in flight, a round tail with white tips, and black band was observed. bright underwing, dark wingtips. Distinctive call heard, both the "caw" and the cooCOOcoo. Spotted on a wire in front of 570 Wentworth, further observations span from there to almost corner of Burlington. addendum: at least two individuals. while one was being photographed, another to south west started calling. Images of both birds gathered. Brief audio of "first bird" also obtained; it is creepy standing on a sidewalk, in a residential area, with this kind of equipment in hand!
