Observation details
Photos to come. Been struggling with ID. Somewhat acute gular pouch in some photos, dark lores, dull beak. Beak looks on the large side for neco and I can't shake an impression of DCCO with the size and shape despite thinking it was a bit off in the field. EDIT: After posting to Advance Bird ID facebook group changing ID to Neotropic. The field mark mentioned the most was the length of the tail and some got a slimmer impression of this bird. Also mentioned was the dull orange coloration on the beak that was absent in the lores (although Double-crested can show dark lores). Gular pouch believed to look better for NECO. One person shared my impression of size and thought it was a bit bulky for NECO, but all others reached consensus on NECO.
