Observation details
Diagnostic views for both observers at different times. Clear side on view for a couple seconds with 10X bins at 20-30 feet. Gray wood warbler, yellowish upper breast and UTCs. Fairly strong eye-ring. Extremely skittish and active, the bird was singing and moving constantly mostly at lower vegetation levels and often deep within cover. It was fairly rapidly covering a territory 40 meters wide by about 200+ meters long. Bird in dry juniper mahogany scrub and sang constantly for nearly an hour. Song was unusual with a long tight trill in the second part. Abruptly stopped singing at 9:35 am and continued sometime after 10 as it was heard by others. Have a recording of one pass of the song.
