Media notes

Adult male Kentucky Warbler responding to playback of conspecific song from app. He approached and began calling then transitioned to short songs. He showed up after leaving the area briefly and started singing very close to me. The calls were at 4.5 meters, the short songs were at 8.5-9 meters at 0606 hours. During the delivery of the calls, he was fanning his tail quickly, but not flicking it up or down. He would flick the tail open every second or so while moving around, calling, and looking for the intruder. The second cut was at 0611 hours and those songs were at a distance of 3-5 meters. Recorder HPF on at 80Hz, -12dB/octave.
