Archivist note: First part of first segment includes distortion, likely the result of a recording equipment problem. Lek was located in the south central part of the reserve 17 males and 1 female present; Dispersed lek - birds were spread over an area 100 meters by 30 meters; 3 Males were in relatively close to the mics for most of the recording (10-20 meters); Young males not displaying vigorously were present; Sagebrush steppe habitat was dominated by big sage (Artemesia tridentata spp?)/bunchgrass. Recording started at 5:45 AM. Partly cloudy, calm, 32 degrees. Other Behaviors: Advertise, Court, Lek. Habitat: Steppe. Equipment Notes: Decoded MS stereo Record gain set to aprx. 7.
