4 feet from initial single caller, then 10 - to - 20 feet from group. Sound is a low "bup bup bup, etc." Dr. Ruschi told [Rodman Ward] a woman expert (batrachiologist?) from the Museu Nacional in Rio de Janeiro had visited shortly before, and had identified this population of Hyla faber. Sky clear; moonlight. Other Behaviors: Chorus. Habitat: Freshwater Marsh, Stream Edge.
