Observation details
Continuing bird(s) in the marsh. White egret that appeared slightly larger then adjacent SNEGs, with pinkish/gray lores and duller, yellow feet compared to SNEGs. Lacking long head plumes. First time I have seen this species at the Route 1 Pannes (those closest to Pine Point Road) since 6/1. I first stopped to scope a white egret that was quickly identified as a SNEG. Then I spotted the LIEG's head sticking up above the marsh grass at the back of the pannes. It alternated between foraging in the open and being hidden by marsh grass during the observation period. It flew toward the Eastern Road with the SNEGs to end the observation. Falling tide, ~ 3 hours before low tide.
