Media notes
This bird displayed for about 5 minutes, twice. In between it flew a display type circle over the lake from a rock prominence returning to the same vicinity though to the beach where it preened/bathed still while calling.
Observation details
****add audio. Medium-large sized sandpiper with yellowlegs. Bill longer than the head size and stockier (distinguishing it from a Lesser) Calling 5 + 5 minutes. Audio made. Flew one display flight in large circle in front of our site - noted white rump. Calling from rock prominence and then from beach. Calling while preening and bathing - sputtering underwater kinda funny. Flew off after sunset - “du-du-du”
