Observation details
Two of three birds perched high in a snag along the main river. Ruddy Pigeon overlaps with the similar but larger Plumbeous Pigeon over much of northern South America. They are best distinguished by voice. Our guide identified them as Ruddy Pigeons based on the red eye and more rufous plumage, Identification confirmed by Daniel Lane.
