Observation details
Could have been more; couldn't tell for sure. It was getting pretty dark. After making several trips, I concluded the only way I was going to see the bird was to play a recording of its song. I can't update Merlin on my 3 year old tablet (I now have an expensive paper weight), and the second device I tried has a dead battery. So I was unable to play the song until I tried the third device, my HP netbook. That worked. Because it was so dark, I didn't expect to get any decent pictures, so getting three was also a nice surprise. At least one bird flew all over the place trying to figure out where the other bird was, singing the whole time. The other bird was me. I feel a little bit guilty, but at least he got a tasty bug out of the deal.
