Observation details
Bird calling about every 8-10 seconds, high-pitched, fast-trilling warble song lasting about 4 or so seconds in length very much like the recordings from Stokes CD and eBird audio library files. Created Spectrograms of the two submitted recordings and zooming in on the vocal segments. Spectrograms 1C, 2C & 3C are from the 1st recording while 3C, 5C, & 6C are from the 2nd recording. Spectrogram 1C varies from the other 5 which are nearly identical in pattern. The last 5 spectrograms show a similar pattern (low freq. trill, then warbled notes, then higher freq. trill) to that of the sonogram of the Eastern WIWR's Song A, Part 2 illustration of Donald Kroodsma's web page: http://donaldkroodsma.com/?page_id=49 which indicates that this bird was singing the later part of a "standard" WIWR song. Hardware Equipment used: Audio-Technica model ATR6550 mic with Sony IC Recorder ICD-PX333 digital voice recorder Software used: Audacity for segmenting the recordings; Sonic Visualizer for generation of sonograms
