Habitat Description: dunes on barrier island, sand and sparse vegetation Weather Conditions: clear, calm, ~75 degrees  (though the microphone is under the incubating oystercatcher next to its skin, so weather should not influence the recording). Number of animals: one adult American Oystercatcher; ~three unhatched chick American Oystercatchers Behavior: heart rate of incubating adult American Oystercatcher on nest; peeping of unhatched chicks in eggs in nest. Habitat: Dune.
