Observation details
RARE; continuing near brewery; large pale dove making deep hooting; we both live in Arizona where this bird is a backyard feeder for us; I am still amazed we actually went to chase a Eurasian Collared-Dove. All gray dove with a black line behind the neck. It glides often and when it banks/glides to the side, the bird makes this grunting and somewhat descending "woooooo". As it landed it made that deep hooting. Note to others. Don't go too far past that brewery or one of those Monhegan residents will scream, "Get off my land!" We were never on it and we stayed on the public road. Just watch out for grouchy people and don't look at birds on or around their house:) Apparently using binoculars is trespassing. This bird's range is spreading across North America.
