Observation details
Foraging on the north shore of the lagoon west of the railroad tracks. At first I was thinking it was a Ruddy Turnstone based on what looked to me visually like a blackish mark on the side of the breast contrasting with a brownish wings and back, but in reviewing photos I see features (especially the face pattern and leg color) that look better for a breeding-plumage Black Turnstone. I'd appreciate input if people have opinions on the bird's ID.
