Observation details
A male--I parked inside and walked left all the way to the corner of the main pond. I heard a warbler singing that didn't quite register. Despite not being more than 15 feet away from the bird, the thick tamarisks kept me from seeing it for about 30 minutes. An adult male Hooded Warbler eventually appeared deep in the tamarisks with no chance to photograph it. Its unique black "hood" was clearly seen. It had a greenish back and yellow chest and belly. I did not see the tail.
