Media notes
Interactions near a nest site with the Alder Flycatchers giving several call types and occasional songs. Some calls sound like Olive-sided Flycatcher calls. There is an unusual vocalization at 1:04. The distance was 11-12 meters. Light breeze.
Observation details
It appears that several singing males showed up at this location since yesterday morning. There is still a noticeable lack of this species, especially near the entrance to the board walk where there used to be several nesting males of both species of Traill's flycatchers. There was a territorial male near stop 6 along the board walk that appeared to have a mate and perhaps a nest. Their behavior was that of a nesting pair and they were vocalizing in each other presence. The male appears to be the individual doing flight song-like vocalizations during these interactions.
