Media notes
PHVI singing in a white birch with a counter-singing BHVI responding ~30-40 metres to the NW from its active nesting territory. The PHVI songs are slightly louder due to being closer to the recorder but the distant BHVI almost equals it in volume due to its overall louder singing level. Again, traffic noise a constant problem.
Observation details
Two were seen foraging in white birch, aspens, and willows generally low to the ground. Noted the yellow throats and undertail coverts and dark loral spot. One male sang. Recorded, but maddening traffic noise diminished the quality.
