Observation details
Discovered by Martha and Liz. Large shorebird with very long bicolored bill. Overall brown/buff with cinnamon tones on belly extending to undertail coverts. Fine black streaking along sides of breast. Martha and Liz first found it at "Canvasback Corner" but it flew before Robin and I arrived. After we searched for nearly an hour, Martha re-spotted it on a beach across from us (extension of Chickadee Trail). We watched it for 45 minutes (feeding, walking, sleeping) before I left. I never saw it fly nor heard it vocalize.
