Song is repeated three times. The first part of each song sounds like a normal Prothonotary, but in the final part of each song the phrases are slightly faster and slightly higher pitched yielding an atypical two part song. The bird was moving quickly through the high crowns of a stand of tulip poplar and was never seen by me.
Observation details
Variant two parted song was recorded and is attached. I never saw the bird. It was subsequently photographed by another observer.
