Media notes

BEHAVIORAL CONTEXT OF SOUND= mate contact. Birds were recorded at an active nest cavity in a tall snag. I use an omni in one channel and a shotgun in the other channel, but it is not stereo. This vocalization is not the typical vocalization found around a nest site. Habitat: Burn. Equipment Notes: Recordist used two mics, a Sennheiser MKH 70 and an MKH 20 each feeding one channel. This specimen was created using the MKH 70 only as the recordist's intention was to make a mono recording.

Additional species

  • Northern House Wren Troglodytes aedon
