Observation details
Seen near the end of the Cape Trail (where it meets the intercoastal waterway - precisely: 33.129386, -79.339036). Similar in size to least/western sandpiper, with distinct eye line, reddish bill, and black legs. He never showed me the white rump, but I think I have enough diagnostic evidence without it.
