Observation details
Photos. Seen from North side of Visitor Center. Looked like a turkey vulture but hawk like when viewed with binoculars, flapping more often and possible hunting over grassland just north of Visitor Center. 2 or more white tail bands, pale beak, yellow legs/feet, dark leading edge part of wings, gray striped translucent in back and outer part of wings leading to tips. No black on wing tips. no white on tip of tail visible. The Top of the hawk shows some light streaks on tail in same place as underside bands, but dark gray otherwise on top. Appears to be an adult, but not sure of sex.
