Observation details
Very rare. First county record? County tick for both of us. Bizarre flyby individual at spring creek and 20 mile rd. Poor pics showing relevant traits for separation from ACDO x EUCD: namely obviously dark slate gray primaries contrasting with beige and much paler dorsal arm wing, and dark gray undertail coverts contrasting with pale beige colored underparts. Head and mantle equally pale and beige as the underparts and dorsal arm wing. Distal to dark undertail coverts an area of blackish pigmentation was apparent, crossing the base of the tail and extending distally on the outer edges of the underside of the rectrices, in the familiar "fang" pattern. Flying southeast to northwest around 755am and did not land. Presumably headed to fields and farmsteads along 21 mile rd west of red pine. Followup along 21 Mile Rd failed to refind the bird an hour later.
