Media notes
This is one of the Gray Flycatchers I saw. Not a great pic--just for documentation purposes. Note the long, thin bill; low-contrast, grayish plumage overall; small, slightly rounded head; wing-bars and eye-ring evident, but not high-contrast.
Observation details
Two in relatively close proximity to one another, west side of Waneka; continuing birds? Both were low-foraging and active tail-dippers, with the characteristic long tails, relatively short bills, long/thin bills, and low-contrast, gray plumage.
